Here is a list of my five favourite Blogs that I just Adore and I’m sure you will too.
1. STYLE BUBBLE I love this women and her blog because she’s so real and authentic. She is just a lover of fashion, a girl who really does live for it, it’s her life, and thats a great thing, this blog isn’t some part time hobby, its her one and only baby and thats the kind of place we want to go for inspiration! She’s very relatable because she’s more of an outsider looking into the world of fashion, she comments on the fashion pack, has photo shoots with them but you get the impression thats she’s not apart of them, more of a observer. Susie writes beautifully and is consistent with her posts, she has interviews and photos with the fashion industries best and elite, gets all the latest news first and models her own personal style on herself so its great for style inspiration.
2.MAN REPELLER Just the name is amazing, SOLD! The fuck you to girls who dress for men doesn’t stop at the name, the whole site if full of fashion, like fashion fashion. Clothes that only the most fiercest bitches wear. This blog celebrates the coolest, weirdest, most out there fashion trends and I love it! If your still unsure this might help:
2009-10; < repellius (ptp. of repellia to eliminate male attention), equiv. to L repel– (s. ofrepellix) unattractive, celibate, paris fashion week, M.C. Hammer + -repel –ler1
Confused about where you fall? Just check out the blog and see if you feel anything stirring in your belly, like a viking going to war xoxox
‘I feature people with great stories and unique personal style, Cary Grant mixed with Anna Piaggi and Quentin Crisp. I focus on men and women over 60, a demographic often ignored by the fashion media. The trick is to stay true to your vision.’ This blogs makes me want to move to New York because it seems to be where all the cool people hang out looking fabulous!
‘When I started there weren’t a lot of street-style blogs. I thought it would be fun to go around taking pictures of people I viewed as looking cool. Now my blog is my work and I’ve also been commissioned through it. These days I cover a lot more fashion weeks. There are so many blogs out there all attempting to do similar things, so I suppose what differentiates mine is simply my personal point of view. I like a lot of colour, print and pattern when done well, which is rare. I don’t really look for a particular designer or trend, I just take pictures of things that I like.’
‘Marie was going through a tough time; we thought a blog would not only be a good project but also an ideal outlet for this passion we share. The blog was an online extension of our lives, in which we talked endlessly about clothes and style. The main difference is our age. We are coming from the perspective of women in their thirties and forties who don’t conform to the expectation of how women our age should dress. Anecdotal, observational, outspoken and often irreverent, we are free to feature whatever is making our hearts race that day.’And thats all folks! All my fave blogs! Now go check em out! xoxoxo
Nasty Gal is my all time favourite online boutique. They have an amazing ethos, its for girls who want to look good, but for themselves and each other, not looking cute or sexy for men, or having to follow the same old fashion trends as the high street. Its for girls who are arty and into fashion, but not into high fashion or are to arty and obscure, its the middle age when your not a little girl and your not mumesy in the playground, its a brand that caters for gals living the best bit of life!
Unfortunately I have no shop to go visit and take pictures as its an online boutique but I have found most of these rad pics from Flickr and Pinterest so I wont be getting any sneaky fines through the door!
Lets start with a bit of history….
This is the mega babe is Sophia Amoruso the founder, CEO and all round bad bitch of Nasty Gal headquarters, she’ s an inspiration to any young women with a dream, starting out by selling vintage clothes on eBay she’s turned her hustling into a 100 million plus profit company, employing hundreds, inspiring many a nasty gal to take risks and be awesome with their fashion.
She’s currently promoting her new book, Girl Boss. I am very much looking forward to this book! Finally someone giving inspiring and useful advice to young women who want to make it on their own and be their own boss. You can pre order it HERE!
And you know its gonna be good, anyone that runs a company called Nasty Gal isn’t gonna shy away from telling it like it is!
The wonderful thing about Nasty Gal is the range of clothes you can get: here are some of my favourite shoots and lines….
The time they got together with Lazy Oaf
Finally check out the Nasty Gal store and their blog….It’s full of inspirational stuff, music, books, films and art, even if you’re not buying anything its a good place to go to get ideas on how to be a badder bitch in life.
Peace and Hugs bitches! xoxoxoxox
SUPER COOL SUPER RAD. YOU WILL WANT IT ALL!
I loved everything in the whole shop, especially this green tiger print jumper, but it was too expensive for me, so unfortunately I only left with a head band and bronzer, but thats okay because it’s my new favourite brand and I WILL GET THAT JUMPER EVENTUALLY, it’s conveniently located at the top of Regent Street, I went to explore and window shop (thats not because they are too expensive but rather my student lifestyle, in fact its very reasonable) and left a dedicated fan, you suggest you go have a look!
& Other Stories is H&M’s newly launched love child, its caters to the hipper COS lover and is pining after the Acne Obsessed crowd. It’s been branded by the media as a more luxurious and expensive H&M, but I went to have a look and the prices really aren’t that bad, here’s what I thought and bought!
They have a lot of offer in just one store: a full range of make-up, a pharmacy, a great nail varnish selection and so many accessories, it was a bit over whelming, I didn’t know where to look, and to make it worse there was a sale! The favourite thing I saw was this green print jumper. I love the simplicity of the designs, and the daring colours, its really cool but not try hard. The designs are a mixture of simple cool cuts, futuristic graphics and classic aspects that make them timeless and wearable for the long haul. Check out there website and go visit! Its a really great experience and any fashionista will find something they love. Check out the BBB Tumblr for more pics and inspiration.
